"It was on November 13th, 1981, from an improvised studio in the quarry area of UH Mānoa. A switch was thrown, several buttons were pushed. And out came the lush and wild strains of Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde." Hawaii Public Radio was finally on the air!"

Learn how to share? This valley is sacred to me and my wife just as much as any other Hawaiian, and we can’t visit because all the hermits growing drugs don’t want anyone seeing their crops.
hermits growing drugs. not so far from the truth. there are farmers but they grow different crops
I am a big fan of this kid! Keep up the great music making.
Beautiful! Mahalo for sharing your lovely voices.
❤Beautiful and Luv That Steel ❣️ Miss Mali'e Lyman🌟
The most informative, very appreciated
Who determines misinformation? Who answers to the temperature and degree of heat that it takes to melt glass is far above a wild fires temperature? Who answers to the impossible to be a coincidence that Josh Green called the emergency proclamation weeks before the emergency? We know that law enforcement was sending people back into the fire hindering and blocking those trying to evacuate because we saw it on livestream video. We know the Maui police chief Pellitiere was the head of the investigation of the Vegas Massacre (Vegas Shooting) that did not recieve a complete and full investigation of answered questions.................I could go on..............do you really think these are just random coincidences?.What does it take for people to stop looking for answers outside of themselves? Each of us were born with our own inner knowing mechanisms. If yours has been in the off positiion for a while.....its time to turn it on and brush off the cobwebs because YOU are your most trusted source of truth finding. Anyone expecting their information to be determined accurate or inaccurate by someone else is plain lazy? If you DO YOUR OWN WORK and reseach then youre golden and you dont need anothers approval, agreement, permission etc. God gave us free will for a reason............its the best gift of all...........use it ........its free!
Savannah and Russell, Thank You for this Podcast! I have always had a fascination with Lanai. (And yeah, a good bit of Jealously, from not being alive back then and being able to buy a Hawaiian Island....... LOL!) Great Info and well presented! Thanks Again! Spyder
It's not a land grab...it's tyranny. Correct me if I'm wrong, Hawaii is a nation occupied by a foreign government, that government being the U.S
Additional truth........United States of America is a CORPORATION (a business) not a republic that gives consent to govern.
Paperwork... palapala is shibai... always has been...the KAPUNA know this, said this, and always have...once you start to accept any FAKE government assistance you are captured...never... instead utilize manao... ancient wisdom and form around pono community ohana and create a new based on old paradyme... Aloha is the only way and the Globalist know this, but will like a serpent try to usurp the Hawaiian way... The Kingdom Lives and embraces all ethnicities who embrace the Kingdom... Christopher March Waikiki 'Io kea Kamakahelei Baker Raymond
The people who put their trust in government are realising government wont save them?
Upbeat and smooth!
Promo-SM 😑
My grandparents lived in Waimea for about 40 years. Thinking about taking my wife next month. I havent been back in 20+ years. Kinda sad knowing the island isnt going to be anything like it was when we were kids. Im sure Waipio has changed as well. Tourists ruin everything they touch.
Everybody is a tourist there. Ain’t nobody native to Hawaii
@@jakedeutscher Not sure where you get your information by my family by definition are native Hawaiians.
@@popo_53 no human is native to volcanic formations. Just because your people were there first doesnt mean they are native to the land. Every human there came from elsewhere originally
@jakedeutscher so what youre saying is theres no such thing as an Earthling because this whole rock used to be molten right?
Jake your a 🤡🤡
Smooth!!!!
I love your beautiful voices, yeah!!❤
I just love them.
❤
Making me dizzy with all those spins.
An afternoon platter, 🎶🎵, crackers and wine. Obviously spent many lifetimes transcribing The G. Its a real pity I’m allergic to dairy.
Just pure fantastic Jazz Funk, From the Master that is???? The GREAT George Duke. We miss you our friend. R.I.P🙏

Your music is just awesome! Thanks 😊
I like that little turn Boney jammin off his own music 😎💚
I've been a big fan since I (somehow) discovered them in 1990. They're always such a pleasure to listen to.
I have been a big fan since the release of Kilimanjaro. I have every one of their albums including Drive and Russ' Christmas album. Yeah, I have been hooked on them for a long long time. I think they are the best Smooth Jazz group.
Man! Straighten up an fly right!!
I thought this was Waimanalo Blues
Love this.
this is what i call a saturday full of joy sound, you wake up with the day full of good possibility
With listening to the Rippingtons it feels like I'm being taken out of my hometown, out of my community, and going out west to Western South Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, all the way to California.
I love it when I find gems like this video on UA-cam
Pat Metheny and Russ Freeman are my favorite!
Great choices👍🏻👍🏻 they are Two of the very best!!
🙇♂️ What a Masterpiece, I return to listen to it from time to time... Amazing
As originally written... Before Waimanalo... Kailua boy here... 96732.
Out of all the cuts of GWB this one is the best. Love the sound that room puts off.
Thanks we like that room too!
I know jacob collier is a genius, but sometimes, "simpler" music like these shines better emotions than the overwhelmingly hyper caffeinated arrangements.
Great music 🎶🔥
My favorite Band I'm biggest fan
When I feel like DANCING with my beautiful pretty woman. Get me in soulful mood.
